Ray Boltz -- Thank you for giving to the Lord -- MP3 Download Free

Written by Jim Guffey, August 16, 2003

Ex 14:13 Moses answered the people, "Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the LORD will bring you today...

I heard this story at church today. What do you think?

A man was visiting one day with his neighbor.  "Whats new?" asked the man.  "Horse ran away last night," said the neighbor.  "That's too bad," replied the man.  "How do you know?" asked the neighbor.  The man just scratched his head and went home.

The next day the man went back to his neighbors' house.  "Whats new?" asked the man.  "Horse came back today," said the neighbor.  "That's great news," replied the man.  "How do you know?" asked the neighbor.  The man just scratched his head and went back home.

The next day the man went back to his neighbors' house.  "Whats new?" asked the man.  "Son was riding the horse that came back, fell off and broke his leg," said the neighbor. "That's too bad," replied the man. "How do you know?" asked the neighbor. The man just scratched his head and went back home.

The next day the man went back to his neighbors' house.  "Whats new?" asked the man.  "Soldiers came here and said they were taking all young men to go to fight a war. Since my son has a broken leg they didn't take him," said the neighbor. "That's great news," replied the man. "How do you know?" asked the neighbor. The man just scratched his head and went back home.

The next day the man went back to his neighbors' house.  "Whats new?" asked the man.  "Soldiers came through today, Seems they arrived to fight and the enemy just fled, so they were ordered to take all they could carry and keep it for their own. Every soldier who went is rich," said the neighbor. "That's too bad," replied the man. "How do you know?" asked the neighbor. The man just scratched his head and went back home.

Do you see the point? We never know what God is up to. All too often we only see things in our singular dimension. God has a plan. And it will be good for us--if we can just believe and wait on him.

Thank you for giving to the Lord...I am the life that was changed!
