Update February 17, 2006

The doctor has re-broken Sherri's arm so that it could heal properrly but she continues to improve.  John (her husband) tells me she can't wait to return!  I look forward to the day...

Update

December 28, 2006     Sherri is at home resting comfortably.  I spoke with her and she is very convinced that Satan is trying hard to discourage her.  She feels that she should have been heard much more severely than she was in the fall.  But she feels Jesus was there to help her.  Her attitude is excellent and her health is improving.  Praise the Lord!  We love you Sherri!

==============================
December 19, 2006     Sherri accompanied us to Guatemala and worked tirelessly with the kids.  This even though she is suffering through stage 4 cancer!  She was such a blessing to everyone she met and worked with.

Read below about her recent accident shortly after her return to the U.S. on or around 12/18 .  And please pray for her.

On 12/18 I received this email from her husband, John:

Jim,

here is another prayer request for you.

Sherri got up to go potty Saturday night (Sun morning) and must have become disoriented.  She thought she was walking thru the bathroom door but headed down the stairs.  she landed on her back and
bounced all the way down the steps.

We believe she was unconscious for a few minutes and when she came too, she called to wake me.  When I found her, she was lying at the bottom of the stairs with one leg up the wall and her head in a
pool of blood.

She broke her left arm in 2 places and had a 2 1/2" gash at the base of her skull.  I called 911 and she was take to Hemet hospital, where she was stabilized  and then transported to Kaiser.

Her head is still seeping blood, even after the wound was stapled shut.  They cannot do surgery until her blood thickens (she is on blood thinners) and then there is a risk of stroke with the thick blood.  She has a large pool of blood beneath the skull.

==============
In the picture to the left you can see the stairs.  No, not the stairs she fell down, the wood and concrete narrow stairs with no railing coming down from her sleeping quarters on the 2nd floor of my house here in Guatemala.  Praise God that she did not fall here!

This verse is for Sherri and John today:

2Timothy   4:18 The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and will bring me safely to his heavenly kingdom. To him be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Please pray for them as Paul did for Timothy in the letter referenced above in Chapter 1 and verse 3, "as night and day I constantly remember you in my prayers."

Thank you for giving to the Lord...I am the life that was changed!
