As we drove to view the site where, some 14 months ago, 1500 plus people were buried alive we didn't know what we would
find. Upon arriving we discovered digging in multiple areas where families were trying to recover the bodies of their
loved ones. It was a somber scene.
We walked to one such site and began speaking with an older couple. Their daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter
had been buried alive and they were hoping that this day they would find their bodies.
We spoke with the family, Sharon and I
and then made arrangements to return that weekend. It seemed intrusive to be there at such a time.
Upon our return, we met the family at the hospital where they were awaiting the release of the remains. We took
