Greetings!
Barb & Trent and I departed Thursday from L.A. We landed Friday at 5:00 a.m. after an uneventful flight. Checked
into a hotel and slept three hours;whoopee!

Got a taxi and went car shopping. After about two hours we finally found what we were looking for: a pickup with 4 doors,
not too old and preferably automatic (can't have everything, it was a stick). We began the purchase process and after almost
8 hours of rain, rain and more rain, and waiting, waiting and waiting (things work [sometimes] differently here in Guatemala),
we finally drove off with it.

A very nice truck, not too much, not too little; almost perfect! The car salesman was a Christian whose church in Guatemala
City has over 10,000 members! He invited us to his church but we wanted to get out of town so we passed for now. Got to Pana
and settled in. Met and had a juice at Hectors Juice Shop. Anna and Candelaria showed up and laughed a lot (I guess they were
happy). They were excited about the new Cisne opening, as Hector had been telling everyone.

We went to Cisne and Don Chilo played his marimbas for us (he owns the restaurant and is a professional musician, 72 years
of age). We made arrangements to sign the lease on Monday and then had dinner with Hector and Angel. Barb got her first taste
of being mugged; not really. She gave two young boys trying to sell us some stuff two of the lite-up balls we brought. And
of course they came back with several others. After more kids, more hands and more kids we had to escape to our truck! But
it was great!

Well, time to go to bed. More later. Please pray that God will lead us and make His plans known as we continue to trust
Him. Every day is a new adventure!
